About Christine

Christine Gaiter has built a successful bookkeeping business while raising six children and dedicating countless hours to public service. As a business owner and bookkeeper, she understands what it takes to balance a budget and make every dollar count. As a teacher for 15 years, she developed a passion for research, continuous learning, and digging into the details—skills she will bring to every decision at Board meetings.
Christine doesn't just talk about fiscal accountability—she delivers it. As Treasurer on the Fire District Board, she cut expenses, created a debt repayment plan that eliminated past debt without compromising operations, and built reserve funds for future capital projects. She uncovered financial discrepancies that others missed—including illegal raises by a pension board—bringing transparency and accountability when it mattered most. 
She's also served on the Town's Finance Committee, Board of Adjustments, Park Board, and the Citizen Water Roundtable, bringing real experience to the decisions that matter. She continues to serve the community as an Election Judge for Larimer County for the past five years, and she attended Colorado Municipal League and Special District Association conferences to expand her knowledge of government and laws.
